Community Involvement
At Rapoport's Restaurant Group, we work to ingrain ourselves into the fabric of the communities we serve. As part of giving back to our communities, we support local charities and non-profit organizations through participating in walks/runs, hosting various fundraising and culinary events, food donations for volunteers, holiday toy drives and donating gift cards and unique experiences to hundreds of fundraising events each year.
In 2013, Rapoport’s Restaurant Group was named the United States Chamber of Commerce’s Southeast Regional DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year. Each of the regional award winners had the opportunity to invite their community to show support for their business through online voting. Rapoport’s Restaurant Group received more votes than any of their competitors, becoming the fifth recipient and sole-winner of the National Community Excellence Award.
Deck 84, Burt & Max's and Max's Grille donate 20% of the sales from any dog menu item to the Vet's Helping Heroes foundation. A local non-profit that provides service dogs to active military and retired veterans. As a thank you for our contribution, Vet's Helping Heroes honored Rapoport's Restaurant Group by naming a Service Dog "Rappy" in honor of Mr. Rapoport's father, U.S. Navy Seaman Ray Rapoport. Service Dog "Rappy" is now a "battle buddy" to a disabled Veteran, giving that veteran independence and a new lease on life.
Each year we donate thousands of dollars in cash and in-kind donations! For donation requests, click here. Some of the local charities and non-profits we work with on an annual basis include:
