Recognizing Excellence in Care: Rapoport's President Honored by AACY

We are thrilled to share some heartwarming news that fills us with immense pride. On April 30, 2024, Rapoport's Restaurant Group's President, Burt Rapoport, was honored at a breakfast event as one of this year's recipients of the prestigious Community Caregiver Award from the American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY). This recognition is a testament to our president's dedication not only to our community but also to the noble cause of caregiving.

At the event, Burt and his wife Robin Rapoport stood alongside other esteemed honorees, including Jan Dymtrow of the Lynn Cancer Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Robert Snyder of the Men Giving Back group. Together, they represent a collective commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others, especially those who are most vulnerable.

The American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) is an organization with a powerful vision and a vital mission. Their vision of a nation where the lives of caregiving youth are understood, appreciated, and celebrated resonates deeply with us. Likewise, their mission to champion young caregivers and support their journey towards success in both school and life is truly commendable.

But who exactly are caregiving youth? They are the unsung heroes among us—young people aged 18 and under who selflessly provide significant assistance or care to a family member with a chronic illness, disability, mental health condition, or aging-related frailty.

As members of the community, it's incumbent upon us to rally behind organizations like AACY who are leading the charge in supporting caregiving youth. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who give so much of themselves to care for others.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Burt and all the honorees recognized by AACY. Your dedication and compassion inspire us all to be better, more caring individuals. Learn more at aacy.org/
